Book a Mass at The Friars
MASS INTENTIONS
Anyone may request a Mass to be offered for their particular intentions.
Many people find great solace in having Mass offered for the repose of the Soul of their dear departed loved ones. However, throughout the year we do receive many other kinds of intentions such as thanksgiving for a blessing, on a special anniversary, or birthday, or for recovery from illness or for success at work or exams etc...
You may also request a Mass for a ‘Private Intention’.
At the beginning of the Mass, the priest will usually state the Mass intention. The congregation is encouraged to pray for that particular intention, in addition to their own intentions.
There is a long tradition in the Church of offering the Priest a stipend/donation for offering the Mass. The amount suggested is a guide of £10 per Mass. Please gift aid if possible. These offerings contribute to the work of the Carmelites.
